Burnout, Life, and Things

Wow, it’s been awhile. A long while. Not really sure how to begin with all of this, but I’m back after a several year hiatus. I guess the good news is that my online presence hasn’t completely died in the interim.

Anyway, I guess I should come out and say it. I got burnt out…on everything. I had to take a step back and breath. I was working 50 to 60 hours per week at my day job and making sure there was a video posted to YouTube almost every day. That old rotation of drag race, tractor pull, then tough truck, Day in, day out, dawn to dusk.

By the time I felt refreshed by breaking up with my old job and starting fresh at another engineering company a year had gone by. I kept thinking through 2019 that I really needed to get back into running the webpage and the various channels that I’m involved in. So, here I am.

Going forward I’m going to try to take a slightly more relaxed stance towards publishing content. Instead of a post almost everyday across all the feeds It will stay more metered. I’m still going to try for a daily update on YouTube, but the other channels are going to end up alternating. Once to Facebook, another day here, and maybe some cross-posting elsewhere.

You’ll all still have access somewhere everyday for some new content, which is already rolling out. Most of it will end up being previous event footage that has sat unprocessed until I can attend some events this coming summer.

I’m also going to be rolling out an update on the K10 pickup LS swap that is now complete. I will take some time to individually review some of the products that I used in the swap, because I know a lot of people still seem confused by the compatibility of some of the products.

I’m also going to take the time to go over plans moving forward. Spoiler- the LS K10 is going away this spring. It’s not that I don’t like it. I just need some space to move back into some other projects I have had hanging out on the warming plate such as a D0VE 460 block for my ’79 Ford F-100 and the ’35 Ford Sedan.

Stay tuned!
