Super Pro Motorcycle Champion – Mark Coulson

Coming into the 2020 season Mark Coulson had no real intentions of running for a JEGS ET Series Super Pro Motorcycle championship, but like everything else in 2020, his plans changed. Mark kicked off the year winning the opening event of the year, the Corona Nationals. Mark and his crew were still troubleshooting the new electronics on his ’78 Kawasaki that day but he was able to take home the win.
At the next event, the first JEGS ET Series points race, Mark parked the motorcycle in the Winner’s Circle once again. At that point he made the decision to chase points for 2020. During the summer, Mark won 4 out 12 events clinching the championship on the final day and ending the season with a win.
“This season has been great for me,” said a very happy Coulson, “I have always wanted to win a National Trail Raceway track championship and a NHRA Wally. I was able to complete both of those goals this season. And winning the NHRA.tv Challenge Wally at 3 am in the morning during the Fog Nationals made it even more special.”
Next season Mark plans on defending his championship but also keeping a happy balance by spending time away from the track with his loving wife Julie.
“Without the support of my wife, Jeff Dennis, Austin Dennis, Frank Moore and Anthony Moore, I just don’t know if a championship would have been possible. I also want to say thank you to Bruce Sauer and Power by Sauer and Bates Leathers for their continued support of my racing program,” said Coulson.
Congrats to Mark Coulson the 2020 JEGS Performance ET Series Super Pro Motorcycle Champion.
