An enthusiast of both muscle cars and electric vehicles (EVs), Kevin Erickson wanted to restomod a 1972 Plymouth Satellite. So he made the decision to replace its 318 V8 engine with a Tesla Model S batteries and motor. It wasn't as easy as just swapping in the electric juice; the entire Tesla Model S rear subframe, along with brakes, half shafts, inverter, and more, had to be installed. The factory suspension couldn't be used because there wasn't enough clearance, so a pushrod suspension had to be engineered to work.
