RPM Army Throw Back Thursday

Our second entry into the RPM Army Throw Back Thursday is this gem. It was recorded the same day that our last post took place during the Pro Stock Semi Truck Pulling Class. It features a Purpose Built Mack Semi attempting to pull the sled. Things seemed to be going pretty well for Big Mack Attack until he neared the end of the pull and the truck bucked until the hood flew off, billowing smoke everywhere.

There have been a lot of guesses on YouTube over the years as to what actually happened to the truck. The reality of it is, that one of the rear gears grenaded itself, sending a chain reaction up the drivetrain. Nothing actually happened to the motor, but it was still a sight to see, and greatly entertained the crowd.
